Mt. Kilimanjaro, “the pride of Tanzania”, is the highest mountain in Africa at 5'895 meters above sea level. It is the largest free-standing mountain in the world, and it has 3 peaks - Kibo (also known as Uhuru-Peak), Mawenzi and Shira.
The Lemosho route stands out as one of the more recent pathways to Kilimanjaro. Renowned for its breathtaking scenery, it offers unparalleled panoramic views from multiple angles of Kilimanjaro Mountain. This route approaches Kilimanjaro from the western side. Being a relatively new option, it remains less frequented by tourists, ensuring a more serene and secluded experience while reaching the Uhuru-Peak.
